
Assessment, Intervention and PSYchologic Change (AIM@PSI)
This group is dedicated to the study of cognitive, emotional and behavioral mechanisms associated with psychological (mal)adjustment in various populations, clinical conditions and adaptation processes throughout development in 3 central areas: (i) development and validation of psychological assessment instruments for the Portuguese population; (ii) development and evaluation of the acceptability, usability and effectiveness of preventive and clinical intervention programs; and (iii) study of processes of adaptation and change in psychotherapy and in other situations of transition and emotional vulnerability. The results of the research conducted by this group aim to contribute to the improvement of the well-being and mental health of the population, as well as to the optimization of interventions and psychological care provided.
